Annie J. Freeman was born October 5, 1952 to the late Mary Alice Calhoun and late James Reynolds. On August 28, 2026 our beloved Annie gained her wings and transitioned home to heaven to be with the lord.
Annie was preceded in death by her loving mother, Mary Calhoun; her father, James Reynolds; her stepfather, Wesley Calhoun; her beloved sister, Diane Reynolds; and her grandmother, Mary Jackson. Though they have gone before her, their love and memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.
Annie lived in Ozark and Daleville for many years before making her home Riverdale, Georgia, where she lived with her beloved daughter, Pam. Annie dedicated 25 years of service to the Fort Rucker Child Development Center where she retired in 2009, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service.
Annie was a faithful member of First Baptist Missionary Church in Ozark, Alabama, where her faith was an important part of her life. Those who knew Annie will remember her for her caring spirit, her love for children, and her joyful personality. She enjoyed watching football Alabama Roll Tide! She also loved dancing, traveling and creating memories that will be cherished by her for years to come. Annie lived a life filled with love and faith. Her presence touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Annie leaves to cherish her precious memory and carry on her legacy of love, her beloved daughter, Pamela Reynolds, and son, Bernard Reynolds. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters, Alice Spencer and her husband, Matthew Spencer; Louise Lynn and her husband, Adrian Lynn; and Dorothy Reynolds; as well as her brother, Ricky Reynolds, and his wife, Geneva Reynolds. Annie’s legacy of love continues through her 11 grandchildren: Marquida Bethel and her husband, Korri Bethel; Marcus Ruffin Jr. and his fiancée, Briana Benson; Mahari Reynolds; Jasmine Evans, Octavia Shaw; Tyriel Calhoun; Bernard Reynolds Jr.; Brianna Reynolds; Aryana Reynolds; Amari Reynolds; Aulani Reynolds; and Travaris Mahone. She also leaves behind 13 precious great grandchildren, who will carry her love and memory in their hearts for generations to come. A host of nieces and nephews that she truly loved.
