Arthur Johnson

Arthur C. Johnson was born June 21, 1933 to J.B. Johnson and Daisy Bell Edwards in Webster County, GA.

He enlisted in the United States Army in Miami, FL and served in the Artilery division. He graduated from Miami Northwestern Adult Night School where he got his certificate in Automotive. He worked for Panam and Eastern Airlines until they closed. Arthur was very well known in the community for assisting others with keeping their cars fixed for a very low price. He had a green thumb for gardening. He grew flowers and fresh vegetables.

He was preceded in death by his father J. B. Johnson; mother, Daisy Bell Edwards; one son, Johnny B. Johnson; three daughters: Laverne, Daisy, and Kim Fain.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife Sarah Newton Johnson of Ashford, AL; a sister, Lenora Kettler; five daughters: Annette Johnson, Lisa Johnson, Audry Johnson, Kandace Bolden, and Cagney Newton; two special nieces: Betty Ann King and Dorothy Jean Morrison; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
