Mrs. Bertha Frazier was born on November 30, 1941, to the late Rev. Sylvester and Ruth Hill. She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Bro. James Frazier from October 1997 until his transition in 2016.
Mother Bertha Frazier was a God-fearing woman who loved the Lord with her whole heart. Her life was a testament to her faith, quiet strength, and a deep devotion to serving God. As a faithful member of the Church of God by Faith in Dothan, Alabama, she poured love, wisdom, and encouragement into everyone she encountered.
Mother Bertha Frazier served faithfully in the COGBF with grace and obedience to leadership within the Missionary Ministry, Wshuer Ministry, Prayer Ministry and Kitchen Help Ministry.
To her church family, she was more than a member - she was a pillar, a nurturer, and a source of steady spiritual warmth. Her presence brought comfort, her prayers brought strength, and her love reflected the heart of Christ. She was cherished by the congregation, who truly were her extended family.
She was a 1959 graduate of Carver High School. She worked until her retirement at the Southeast Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Sylvester and Ruth Hill; her husband, Bro. James Frazier; two sisters, Doshia Mae Pouncey, Roxie Hill Moton; one brother, Curtis Hill; three nephews, Roy Hill, Marvin Hill and William Russell Turner; and one great niece, Samantha Shiver.
Mother Bertha Frazier leaves to cherish her precious memories: one brother-in-law, Lawrence Frazier of Syracuse, NY; three nieces: Drena Turner, Carla Hill, and Sandra Sanders; three nephews: Daniel (Katie) HIll, Curtis Hill, and her nephew, whom she raised as her own son, Amos Sanders; three special great nieces: Crystal Sanders, Laura Teague and Geneva Burnett (Scott) Sanders; three special great nephews, David Sanders, Cornelius Smith and Chris Bivins; a special friend, Liza Brooks; and a host of other relatives, god-children, friends, and the Church of God by Faith Church family.
