Obituary

Catherine Marie Godwin better known as “Kat” was born August 2, 1971. She was born to the late Jewel Lee Godwin and Inez Lois Mathis-Godwin. She went to Rehobeth Schools and attended Riley College. Marie worked most of her life in the management field. In her younger life she attended church at St John AME Church, once she got older her church home became Greater Deliverance Outreach Ministry. Ms. Marie was a very dynamic and caring person she took in a host of children. Catherine Marie Godwin departed this life on Friday, October 18, 2019.

She was preceded in death her parents; one brother, Henry Godwin; one sister, Mary E. Godwin.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son Enrique Godwin; three daughters: Enriquetta (Andrell) Lewis, Enrubia Pledger and En’Rasrine Pledger; seven grandchildren: Jamyiah Boykin, Tuhquetta Lewis, Tulaya Godwin, Catalaya Lewis, Ky’Nyliah Godwin, Sa’Riyah Wilsher and Andrella Lewis; sisters: Ruby (Tony) Anderson, Jacqueline Glover, Barbara (Edward) Williams, and Henrietta (Willie) Ward; two brothers: Jerry Godwin and Karey (Gloria) Godwin; twenty four nieces, twenty-three great nieces; two goddaughters, Jewelyn Graham and Shameeka Sewell; one godsister, Elaine Jones and a host of other relatives and friends.
