Edmon Dawsey

Obituary

Mr. Edmon Dawsey was born October 12, 1942 in Dothan, AL to the late Curb and Mary Emma Dawsey. The Lord called him home on November 16, 2019.

He gave his life to Christ at an early age and was a faithful and dedicated member to Shady Grove #2 until his health failed. He served as church clerk for many years. Edmon was one of the most loving and kindhearted person you would ever meet. He was very quiet, unique in his own way, always had a gentle smile on his face. One of his favorite past time was working in the yards and other various projects around he house.

Edmon was preceded in death by his wife, Laurece McBride Dawsey; five sisters: Ida Mae Saffold, Heniretta Register, Roxie Lee Holt, Bessie Cleary, and Maryetta Dawsey; five brothers: Jerry Dawsey, Jay D. Dawsey, Willie Dee Dawsey, Jessie James Dawsey, and Zibbie Dawsey Senior.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted daughter, Margaret Dawsey; two loving sons: Jerry and Timothy Dawsey all of Dothan, AL; two granddaughters: Candis Moore of St. Paul, Minnesota and Shauntaye Carter Dawsey of Dothan, AL; two grandsons: Timothy Jayuan and Jermiah Jikem Dawsey of Dothan, AL; five great grands; two brothers: Rev. Thomas (Laura) Dawsey Sr. and Elbert Lee Dawsey both of Dothan, AL; three sisters-in-law: Addie and Gussie Dawsey of Dothan, AL, Yvonne Dawsey of Clearwater, FL, and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends. A special neighbor and friend Ms. Juanita Wilson.
