George Franklin Hamilton III

Legacy

To every thing there is a season and a time to every purpose under the Heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance. Ecclesiastes 3:1,2,4

Deacon George Franklin Hamilton III

A Time to be Born: George Franklin Hamilton III, affectionately known as “Bro,” was born in Henry County on February 10, 1960 to   Betty and George Hamilton Jr.

A Time to Learn: Bro graduated from Headland High School, George C. Wallace State Community College, and Troy State University– obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Biology. While attending Troy, George became a member of the fraternity close to his heart: Kappa Alpha Psi.

A Time to Love: George loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his wife, and his family. He touched many lives with his big heart and playful spirit. He was joined in Holy matrimony to his wife, Kimberly Hamilton, for twenty-three years. He adored spending time with his children, his children, his parents, and his nieces and nephews. He was a hard-worker, so he enjoyed every minute he spent on vacation. He loved Rolling with the Tide, the Cowboys, and the Lakers. At the end of the day, it is impossible to think about the way George radically loved everyone and not smile.

A Time to Serve: He was a faithfully committed member of  Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where he eagerly served as a Deacon. Additionally, he enjoyed singing in the Mass Choir and Male Chorus. Bro was always ready to serve in any capacity needed. He was known for his outgoing spirit, his contagious laughter, and his awesome hugs.

Preceded in Death: George Hamilton III was preceded in death by his two brothers: Dellie Donahue Hamilton and Carl Orlander  Hamilton; as well as grandparents: George and Evelyn Hamilton Sr. and Deck and Alice Kirkland.

He leaves behind to cherish his beloved memory: his loving and devoted wife: Kimberley Hamilton; six beautiful children: Nikkia (Ricky) Jones, La Ron Warren, Jasmine Turner, Jeffrey (Jamel) Baxter, George Hamilton IV, and Jasmine (Demetrous) Simmons; seven precious grandchildren: Jayden, Jada, Jayce, Maurice, Kimmari, Shanice, Jameria; two compassionate parents: Betty and George Hamilton Jr.; three amazing sisters: Deborah (Dennis) McGlown, Zelda (Bill)   Blocker, Alicia (Gerald) Brown; his devout mother-in-law, Mary Etta Butts; sister-in-law, Bridget (Max) Napper, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends who loved him.
