James Grimsley is the son of Sammy Grimsley and Prellas Grimsley. He was born in Dothan, AL on October 8, 1948.

James life was filled with joy, smile, and love for others. James had a heart of gold. James Grimsley will always live in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Sammy and Prellas Grimsley; wife, Kaite Grimsley; two brothers: Sammy and Lester Grimsley; one sister, Gloria Norton; two aunts: Rose McGowen and Noble Walker; one nephew, Sammy Davis.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son, James (Vanessa) Grimsley; two daughters: Patrica Grimsley and Amanda F. (Kerry) Jackson; grandchildren: James Grimsley III, Diondre Charros, Earlnesia Jean Mary, Jhanae Wright, Tarvis Means and great grandson, King Jean-Mary three brothers: Addis Grimsley, Eddie Grimsley, and Larry Grimsley of Dothan, AL; three aunts: Earline Tiller of Dothan, AL, Genie Williams of Dothan, AL, and Ruby Jewel Reese of Clio, AL; one sister-in-law, Nora Mae Grimsley and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
