Lessie M Brunson

With her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God and the love and prayers of family, friends and many supporters, Lessie Mae Brunson transitioned her Earthly life on Sunday, January 21, 2024 surrounded by family and close friends.

Lessie was the fifth child of eight children born the late Napoleon Snell Sr and Ella Ree Wilson Snell on September 14, 1954 in Dothan Alabama.

Lessie accepted Christ at an early age in Panama City Florida where she was raised by her aunt Lessie Mae Allen. At the age of 14 years old, she returned back to Dothan Alabama and joined the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where she served until her transition. She sung with "The Voice of New Bethel" choir for a while and later joined the Usher Board, which she loved doing so much, to the fact that she had to be told to sit down, too weak to stand, but she was still serving faithfully.

Lessie was a selfless lover of people and she devoted her life to loving people, especially children.

Lessie is preceded in death by both parents; her son, Bennie Willis; three brothers and one sister.

She leaves to cherish her memories; one son, Terrell (Brandy) Brunson of Killeen Texas, one daughter, April Brunson Reynolds of Dothan Alabama; two sisters, Linda (Charles) Ford and Teresa Snell both of Dothan Alabama; one brother, Tyrone Snell; five grandchildren, Braxton Willis, Jacoby Brunson, Benishisa Willis, Jakia Brunson and Jabria Brunson; as special friend (sister), Lisa Durr Copeland and Ron Cook; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives
