Mary Farmer Pickett transitioned from her earthly home to her Heavenly home on May 12, 2026, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center, Dothan, Alabama.
Mary Farmer Pickett was born September 27, 1951, in Shorterville, Alabama. Mary was the daughter of the late Minnie B. Farmer and Raymond Farmer, Sr. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church, Gordon, Alabama, until her passing.
Mary was a loving and caring wife to her husband, Richard Washington Pickett, who preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Farmer, Sr., mother, Minnie B. Farmer, one brother, Raymond Farmer, Jr., three sisters, Minnie Faye Farmer White, Mable Farmer Frazier, and Martha Farmer Ford. Her loving memories will be cherished by her family. She is survived by her three children: a daughter, Glenda Faye Harris (Joseph) of Temple, Georgia, and two sons: Ricky Derelle Pickett (Krystee) of Dothan, Alabama, and Mark Eric Teague (Natalie) of Manassas Park, Virginia. She was the loving grandmother of 5: Jordan Teague, Jory Teague, Justin Harris, Teniya Pickett, and Joseph Tyrell Harris, who preceded her in death. Mary also leaves to mourn, siblings: Robbie Dawsey, Orlando, FL; Jessie Farmer, Dothan, Alabama; and Faye Farmer James (Jerome), Columbia, SC. She is also survived by a loving aunt, Earmesta Whiters of Dothan, Alabama, a dedicated and special cousin, Clarice Hicks, a special niece, Renita Dawsey, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, relatives and friend
