Mrs. Carrie Alma Truett

Carrie Alma Truett (Jackson) 81, was born October 31, 1938 in Dothan, AL to Carrie Jackson and Andrew Jackson. She was the middle child to seven other siblings. God wrapped his arms around her, and called her home Sunday, July 6, 2020 surrounded by family and friends.

Carrie lived a loving and fulfilled life. She loved to love on people. She would sew clothing for family members as well as others within the community. She also shared a love of cooking. Making meals was her way of spreading joy and love to others. Carrie was a pillar citizen in the community that worked may years as a private caregiver.

She was preceded in death by her parents Carrie and Andrew Jackson; siblings: Herman Jackson, Willie James, Raymond Jackson, Mytrice Jackson.

She leaves behind her husband of 47 years, Clyde Truett (Cottonwood, AL); her six children: Cynthia Wimes of Dothan, AL, Tracey Holley of Buena Vista, GA, Stanley Owens of Dothan, AL, Rhonda Holley of Panama City, FL, Lashanda Truett of Kinsey, AL, Kontie Truett of Kinsey, AL; brothers: Harold Jackson of Dothan, AL, Earnest Jackson of California, Lillie Ann (Pat) Blow of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren: Zakiya Wimes of Dothan, AL, Zacchaeus (Frank) Wimes of Dothan, AL, Katrina Kelley (Wimes) of Dothan, AL, Siedah (Nell) Holley Columbus, GA, Kevis Pledger of Buena Vista, GA, Rafael Truett of Hartford, AL, Lorenthesis Holley of Atlanta, GA, Javonte Thomas of Dothan, AL, Ashanti Holley of Panama City, FL, Deshawn Owens of Dothan, AL, Savion Jones of Kinsey, AL, and Aneka Owens of Dothan, AL. Further survived by a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
