Nakia McNeil

Nakia “Tiny” McNeil, 17, passed away on August 8, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia. Born on March 27, 2008, in Birmingham, AL, to Whitney McNeil and the late Cordell Forman, Nakia brought joy and love to everyone she met.

A vibrant and determined young woman, Nakia was preparing for her senior year of high school with dreams of attending the University of Georgia and becoming a pediatric psychiatrist. Known for her kindness, wit, and drive, she made every moment brighter.

Nakia is deeply loved by her parents, Whitney and Ja’Don McNeil; sister: Jada McNeil; brother, Ezra Williams; grandmothers, Tracy Dixon, Lashaurne Bright, Ivory Crayton, Syntha Helms; grandfathers, Richard Burden, Alex Dixon, and James Helms; Great grandparents Vodell and Mary McNeil; aunts, Sasha Freeman, Shae Helms, Cierra Helms, Essence Reynolds; uncles, Richard Burden, Treyvion Butler, Taurus Helms, Telvin Freeman, Sh’Quan Perkins; God family, Stanley, Tynesia, Londyn, and Queenn Johnson, Michael Reynolds, Brandon Wilson; a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Her passing leaves an emptiness, but her memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew her.
