Nellie Denise Blackmon

was born to the late Betty Blackmon and Nathaniel Blackmon on February 17, 1965.  She departed this life on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. Nellie attended Dothan City School. She accepted Christ at a early age. She joined Patterson Street Freewill Baptist Church and served as an usher.

Nellie is preceded in death by her parents Betty and Nathaniel Blackmon; two sisters: Juanita Blackmon and Carolyn Blackmon; two brothers: Ray Blackmon and Charlie Blackmon.

She leaves to cherish her memories three sisters: Margaret (Tommy) Blackmon, Patricia (Bobby) Anglin, and Mary Daniels; two brothers: Nathaniel Blackmon and Robert Blackmon; four nieces: Margie Blackmon, Bobbie Blackmon, Wanda Blackmon and Meka Blackmon; two nephews: Michael Blackmon and Raymond Blackmon and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Nellie was a very well known person and she never met a stranger. So anyone that she made contact with they became family to her. She has a extended family that accepted her as their own and that family is Mary B. Walker and Family. They loved Nellie so much and she loved them back. She will truly be missed by the Walker Family and her fellow friends,
