Roderick Earl Crews was born in Dothan, AL May 10, 1964 to the late Waymon Crews Jr. and Mattie Safford Crews. He graduated from Northview High School. He was employed with Perdue Farms for 13 years.

On February 10, 2019 Roderick was greeted at Heaven’s Gate by his father, Waymon Crews Jr.; brother, Timothy Wayne Crews; two grandmothers: Mattie Macon and Lady B. Pollock Teague; aunt, Era Grimsley, and the Lord.

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Mattie Crews; one son, Rodrielle Tra’Shuan

Holder (Kadisha “Dee Dee”); three grandchildren: Kinsley, Azalea, and Sincere Holder; one brother, Waymon Crews III; one sister, Jeannene (Marbell) Griggs; one uncle, Freddie Crews; two nieces: Kimberly Griggs and Courtney Griggs; one nephew, Marty Griggs and a host of other relatives and friends.
