Willie C. Wilbon was born September 23, 1943 to the late Nun Wilbon and E. K. Teague. He departed this Earthly life on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
Willie attended Carver High School. He accepted Christ at an early age.
Willie "Lil Man" Wilbon was a very well-known gentleman who never met a stranger. He was a true Alabama ROLL TIDE fan and a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He knew everyone and it did not matter where he went, he was definitely the star of the show. TALK, TALK, TALK is what he was known for and what he loved to do. He also loved cooking and always had something stewing. Willie was a family man and was very active, he would take off walking in a hurry.
Willie is preceded in death by his parents, Nun Wilbon and E. K. teague; two sisters, Rochelle Wilbon and Jeanette Wilbon.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Mattie Pearl Wilbon; four children, Sue Whatley, Dennis Whatley, James Whatley and Earnestine Nwachukwu; five grandchildren, Christopher Whatley, Shawanda Whatley, Brandy Whatley, Demeka (Edwin) Flowers and Tiffanie Whatley; a special great granddaughter Ambernik Whatley; special cousins, Jimmie Wilburn and Precious Wilburn; and a host of of great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Willie will definitely be missed by many.
