Eddie Charles Smith

Deacon Eddie Charles Smith was born on April 9, 1960 to Jack Charles Smith and the late Linnie Lee (White) Smith. He was also preceded in death by a brother Randy Smith, and his grandparents Walter White Sr. and Eva Ree White. The late Rev. Zack (Mary) Smith and uncle Bishop Roy White,  and an aunt Margaret White.

Eddie Charles Smith attended Rehobeth High school and graduated from there in 1979. He was a member at Bethesda Apostolic Faith Temple, for many years. He grew up in the church. He was a prayer warrior loved the Lord dearly, and was able to bring others to Christ.

Eddie was known as “Bootman” to his coworkers and friends. He loved people and never met a stranger. He was a person with a big heart.  He was a very hard worker, and he was very special to anyone who was around him or knew him.

His memories will remain with his loving wife Carolyn Perkins Smith whom he called his “Queen” of 25 years. She was the love of his life. A son; Joshua Perkins of Dothan, Al. Whom was very dear to him.  A God sister Tiffany Patrick Clark of West Palm Beach , Fl. Also a sister Mary Turner of Dothan, Al. Mama Jewel Smith who was just like a mother to him. Survivors also include his brother Superintendent Eugene (Evelyn) Smith of Kinsey, Al.  Three biological sisters Evangelist Eva Johnson Midland City, Al.  Elder Mary Arnette Lynn of Dothan, Al.  Remona smith of Houston, Tx.  Uncles;  Don White,  Bishop Robert (Freddie Mae)  White and  Pastor Jimmy White all from Anderson, Indiana. Bishop Phillip (Daisy) Smith, Paul (Sheena) Smith, Shelly (Lillian) Smith all of Dothan, Al. and Cecil Smith.  A host of nieces nephews and first cousins other relatives and friends.  Much love to the Howell Family his coworkers and friends whom will all miss him dearly.
