Emma’s life journey began July 25, 1936. Born to her mother the last Glennie P. Jackson of Dothan, Alabama. She was raised up at 909 Linden Street with her grandparents who also preceded her in death.
Emma went to high school where she learned how to be a hairstylist, which was a passion she loved and provided for the community for many years. She also worked at Village Cleaners for many years and retired from that job.
Emma was a Seventh Day Adventist church member, and was loved by everyone everywhere she went. Most everybody either called her momma or Granny. To know her was to love her, and she will be greatly missed.
Emma Coleman was preceded in death by her son; Otis Coleman. One sister; Martha P. Jackson Reed. Two brothers; Larenzo Jackson, and Cleavon Coleman.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories one daughter; Sylvia (Detrick) Roberson. One granddaughter Glennie Corbitt. 3 great grandkids, 6 nieces', 3 great niece’s, and 6 great nephews, and a host of cousins.
Special thank you to Mrs. Velma McCray her long time care-taker and friend, and Miss. Mary Bass a special friend.
