Lester Hollins

Mr. Lester Hollins was born on November 11, 1956 to the late Annie M. Hollins Stephens. The late John Stephens raised him as his own; He departed his life peacefully on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Southeast Health, Dothan, AL.

His education was received in the Dothan city public school system.

Lester was self-employed in the Carpenter Construction industries and worked with Railcrew Express until his health failed.

Lester loved being a part of life and loved people of all walks of life.  Lester loved muscic and he was an excellent trumpet player in several local bands during the 1970’s.

Lester united with Trinity Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.  He later moved his membership to Hines Chapel A.M.E Church of Dothan, AL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Todd Stephens.

Those blessed to cherish his memories includes: Beverly Severson, two sons: Nicky Severson and Deontae Hollins all of Headland, Alabama. Four daughters: Angelia Barber of Rehobeth Alabama, Brianna Johnson of Dothan, Alabama, Nicole and Tywanda Severson of Headland, Alabama. Siblings: Mary (Kenneth) Jackson, Hortie (Freddie) Russaw, Sherry (the late Larry) Hollis, Earnest (Brenda) Stephens, Judy Youngblood, Janie Stephens, Jerry (pam) Stephens, all of Dothan, Alabama and Justin Stephens of Conway, Arkansas.  Grandchildren: Cherisse, Amaya, Jakayla, Ava, Veronica, Nicholaus, Miracle, Trinity, Braylen, and Amarion; One great grandchild, Aurora and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
