Mr. Ellis McGruder

Mr. Ellis McGruder was born May 2, 1956 to the late Hattie M. Chambers and James McGruder. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Usher Board and he also cooked in the kitchen. He was employed at Sambo’s, King Inn, Grate Things and Basketcase for 31 years.

He departed this life on June 30, 2020.

He leaves to cherish his memories one sister, Gladys McGruder of Dothan, AL; one brother, Johnny (Mary) McGruder of Dothan, AL; a special niece, Natasha McGuire; one nephew, Chadwick Williams; three great nieces; two aunts: Irene Crawford of Atlanta, GA and Lizzie M. Chambers of Dothan, AL; two uncles: Louis and Winston Chambers of Dothan, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

An extended family Linda (Graylin S) White of Dothan, AL and  special friends: Patricia Dixon, Deborah Reeves and Darion Brooks.
