Michael Louis Coleman
was born to John Louis Coleman and Nettie Barber Coleman on March 31, 1974 in Dothan, Alabama. Known affectionately as Big Mike to family and friends. Upon his transition on March 7, 2023 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Big Mike leaves behind his life partner Jennifer Kunkel, his son Michael V. Coleman, god-daughter Emilee Curtice, two brothers Vincent L. Coleman, Antonio P. Coleman, and Steve Brackins, aunt Brenda Green, aunt Teresa McNealy, aunt Willie Mae Hall, aunt Jean Brackins, uncle Joel Coleman, Sharon Barber, Shawn Green, and Nieces and Nephews.
Big Mike lived in Fort Walton Beach, FL with Jenni and Emilee. His greatest joy is his son, Michael. He is extremely proud, and supportive of Michael’s direction and goals. Big Mike took great pride in cooking for family and friends, as well as at the Olive Garden in Fort Walton Beach. He enjoyed fishing, his favorite spot was the Pier in Fort Walton Beach. Big Mike was a true fan of both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Los Angeles Lakers.
