Mrs. Annie Mcleod Scott

"To everything is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1

A Time to be Born:
Annie Mae McLeod Scott was born on November 2, 1938, in Skipperville, Alabama, to the late Willie Hubert and Carrie Mae Ramsey McLeod.

A Time to Build Up:
Annie Mae accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and joined Allen Chapel AME Church Skipperville Alabama, where she remained a member until death. She served faithfully on the Usher Board until her health would no longer allow her to do so. Annie Mae was educated in Ozark, Alabama, and graduated from D. A. Smith High School.

A Time to Love:
Annie Mae met and married the love of her life, the late John Felton Scott. To this union, one daughter was born but died after birth. Annie Mae and John Felton were married fifty-eight years before his death on June 2, 2013.

Annie Mae claimed ALL of her nieces and nephews as her children. Annie Mae took pride in making sure that her house was ALWAYS clean and preparing delicious, exquisite meals and desserts.

Annie Mae was preceded in death by her siblings: Willie Bud McLeod, Martha Louise McLeod, Essie Lee McLeod Hudson, Willie Joe McLeod, and Hubert Lee McLeod.

A Time to Die:
Annie Mae transitioned from the church militant to the church triumphant on April 20, 2021.

A Time to Mourn:
Annie Mae leaves to cherish her memory: two loving sisters; Mary McLeod Smith, Mavean McLeod Smedley. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, other relatives, and friends.
A special thanks to her caretaker, her sister, Mavean McLeod Smedley.

A Time of Peace: “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather be absent from the body
and to be present with the Lord.” II Corinthians 5:8
