Elizabeth Parrish was the eleventh of fourteen children born to Reverend Melton and Laura Faulk Parrish on May 10, 1946.
Elizabeth was a beautiful child from inside out. Her smile told it all. That changed her name to “Liz”. She loved her family and co- workers. If she could not deal with your attitude, she did not talk about you, she just distanced herself. Liz had one smart son, Steve Parrish, a daughter-in -law, Sharon Parrish, and one granddaughter Shaquiala Parrish who she loved and was so proud of.
Liz was baptized at St. Mary Baptist church in Gordon, AL., and later joined Cherry Street A.M.E. church where she sang in the choir. She worked at Dillard’s, Parisians, Belk, and she worked with organizations. Her gift from God was being a natural artist and soloist.
Liz was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands: Reverend Larry Jackson, and Samuel Cameron; five brothers Melton, Eysaw, Olin, Jack, and Walter Parrish; two sisters, Georgianna Parrish Scott, and Ruby Parrish Beacham.
Liz will forever be loved and missed by her on Steve (Sharon) Parrish; granddaughter Shaquiala Parrish; sisters Hattie Parrish Williams, and Ethel Parrish Silmon; brothers Pilar Parrish, C.W. (Minister Jennie) Parrish, Collies Parrish, and Eldridge Parrish; sister in laws, Mamie Parrish, Annie Ruth Parrish, and Irene Parrish; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
